This policy explains what personal data ParkNavigator collects, why, and what rights you have over it. It applies to anyone using our website, our subscription service, or any of our individual park navigator sites (Seal Bay, Lakeside, Holden's, and any future parks).

What Information We Collect
When you subscribe
- Email address — used to log you in via a one-tap magic link, and to identify which park(s) your subscription covers.
- Payment details — handled entirely by our payment provider, Stripe. We never see, receive, or store your card details ourselves.
- Device identifier — a randomly generated code stored on your device (not linked to your identity beyond your email) used to enforce our one-device-per-subscription policy, which prevents a single login being shared between several people.
When you use a free park (e.g. Lakeside)
No login or personal information is required. We record anonymous, non-identifying usage statistics — for example, whether a search returned a result, and which navigation app (Google Maps, Apple Maps, or Waze) was chosen — to help us understand how the service is used and to improve it. These records are not linked to your name, email, or any other personal detail.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain access to the park(s) you've subscribed to
- To send you a login link when you request one
- To process payments and manage your subscription (including cancellations and renewals)
- To respond if you contact us directly
We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell your information to any third party.
Who We Share Data With
We use a small number of trusted service providers ("processors") to run ParkNavigator. Each only receives the minimum data needed to perform their specific role:
- Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing
- Supabase — our database and login system, where your email and subscription status are securely stored
- Resend — delivers the login link emails you request
These providers may process data on servers located outside the UK. Where this happens, they do so under appropriate legal safeguards required by UK data protection law.
Cookies & Local Storage
Rather than traditional tracking cookies, our sites use your browser's local storage to remember your device identifier (for the one-device rule) and your login session. This information stays on your device and is only ever compared against our records to verify access — it is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.
How Long We Keep Your Data
We retain your email and subscription records for as long as your subscription is active, and for a reasonable period afterwards in case of billing queries or disputes. You can request deletion of your data at any time — see "Your Rights" below.
Your Rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Ask what personal data we hold about you
- Ask us to correct inaccurate data
- Ask us to delete your data
- Object to or restrict how we use your data

Children
ParkNavigator is not directed at, or intended for use by, children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example as the service grows or regulations change. Any significant changes will be reflected here with an updated "Last updated" date above.
